Tyler was born and raised in the small town of Jefferson, Iowa. His father purchased their first farm in 2004, when Tyler immediately developed a deep connection with the land. He has a strong passion for growing and hunting trophy whitetails. He has harvested several Boone & Crockett bucks. Tyler holds his QDMA Deer Steward I Certifiation and enjoys helping land owners increase the quality of their property and deer population.
In addition to hunting, Tyler also has a passion for the agriculture industry. After graduating from Iowa State in 2014, he saw farmers facing an increasingly difficult farm economy. To help farmers cut the cost of inputs, he founded a startup called The FarmElement. This AgTech company provided farmers with a free online platform to request bids from local crop retailers on seed, fertilizer, and chemicals. The FarmElement joined forces with a California-based started up who offered similar services in 2019. This alliance provided farmers with access to greater technology, an increased network of retailers, and additional cost savings.
Tyler and his wife, Katelyn, reside in Dallas County, IA with their German Shorthair, Benelli. Outside of his career with LandProz, Tyler enjoys spending time with family and friends, hunting, working on the land, and being on the water.
Tyler entered the real estate business because he wants to help both aspiring and current landowners accomplish their land goals. Whether it be purchasing their first farm, expanding upon what they currently have, or increasing their financial return. Tyler and his connections are able to help both buyers and sellers regardless of their situation.
