Nick grew up on the edge of town on a small farm in Villisca, Iowa. His father had a cow herd and would background calves every summer. He introduced Nick to hunting as soon as he was old enough to ride in the truck with him. In the winter while checking cows, Nick’s dad would drop him off with his .22 rifle to hunt for rabbits and squirrels until he was finished.
After high school, Nick attended Northwest Missouri State University and graduated with a double major in Business Management and Marketing. It took Nick about 4 years after graduation to find his way back to Villisca and in the world of Ag banking. During his 12 years as an Ag/Commercial lender, Nick discovered his love for land. He purchased his first farm at the age of 27.
Nick currently lives on a farm outside of Villisca with his wife, Susan, and 3 children; Sloane, Brandt, and Maverick. Susan is a respiratory therapist at the Clarinda Regional Health Center. They have a small row crop operation and cow herd.
In his free time, Nick enjoys hunting and coaching/playing sports with his kids. If you are in the market to buy or sell land in Southern IA, give Nick a call, he'd be happy to hear from you!
