Ben grew up on a farm near Sherburn MN. He attended college at SDSU and graduated in 2003 with a degree in General Ag and Ag Business. After college, Ben returned home to be the third generation to operate the family farm. He and his wife, Leslie, have two boys, Rylan and Rogan. As a family, they can be found riding horseback and dirt bikes during the summer and skiing in the winter months. They also enjoy teaching the boys the value of hard work on the farm.
Ben is also a graduate of Texas A&M’s continuing education program, The Executive Program for Agricultural Producers (TEPAP) where he learned the skillsets to better manage and grow their farming operation. Ben has always had an interest in farmland since it is a key asset in his farming operation. Ben is very familiar with southern Minnesota and Northern Iowa land and has a good understanding of the key aspects of farmland such as land values, soil types, and drainage.
