Born and raised in Dubuque County, Iowa, Chris developed a lifelong passion for agriculture. Despite growing up a generation removed from his family's farm, Chris sought to connect to his roots by surrounding himself with many mentors and influences in the farming community. A degree in agronomy from Iowa State University built on his experiences and he began a career near Plainfield, Iowa where he is deeply involved in agronomy and sustainability decisions for a local row crop farm operation. In addition, Chris works as a crop insurance agent for Rain and Hail Insurance, helping farmers find the best risk management strategies for their operations.
Chris has made it a personal goal to build a legacy of appreciation and ownership for the land he works on. Real estate and farm management have provided him with the perfect opportunity to help others do the same. His integrity and willingness to listen and learn from the people he works with serves him well in creating long-term relationships with those who share his passion for the land.
