JJ’s passion for auctioneering began early. In 1996, at just 11 years old, he attended the World Wide College of Auctioneering, launching a lifelong career in the auction and real estate industries. After graduating, JJ went to work for his family’s auction business in Worth County, Iowa, where he learned the trade under the guidance of his father—also a respected auctioneer. Over the years, JJ has been involved in the marketing and sale of over one billion dollars in assets and currently conducts over 250 auctions each year, serving farmers, landowners, and investors across the Midwest.

A recognized leader in his profession, JJ is a two-time State Champion Auctioneer and Reserve World Champion, earning the titles of both Iowa State Champion and Minnesota State Champion Auctioneer. He has also served as Past President of the Iowa Auctioneers Association and is an active member of the National Auctioneers Association, Iowa Auctioneers Association, Minnesota Auctioneers Association, and the Realtors Land Institute (RLI). These honors reflect JJ’s dedication to professionalism, continuing education, and leadership within the land and auction industries.

JJ and his wife Jodie, along with their son Axel, live in Hancock County, Iowa. Jodie is an integral part of JJ’s team, bringing her degree in Agronomy from Iowa State University and her agricultural expertise to the business. Together, they combine hands-on farming knowledge, professional marketing skills, and a shared passion for helping landowners make informed, successful decisions.
