Dakoda is a fourth-generation farmer out of New Castle, IN. While he helped on the farm growing up, he was also busy racing all around the United States in open wheel cars. Hobby racing eventually turned into a career in the NASCAR Trucks and NASCAR Xfinity Series where he raced for legends such as Rodger Penske, Richard Petty, and Richard Childress. In racing, he was sponsored by agriculture companies which gave him the chance to stay involved with the farm while also seeing how the businesses conducted their operations.
Dakoda graduated from Shenandoah High School in 2010, and shortly after graduation he moved to North Carolina to pursue his dream of racing. He and his high school sweetheart, Karlee, married in 2015 and now have two children: Asher and Blair.
Since returning to farming in 2018, Dakoda has gained a lot of respect for how much work goes into running a successful farming operation. He now farms around 8,000 acres alongside his dad, uncles, brother, and cousin. Because Dakoda knows just how important both buying and selling land can be to the future of a family, he became a licensed real estate broker of Indiana.
